Sewing Classes, Services and Workshops
Welcome to Comfortable Wardrobe’s™ sewing classes, services and workshops! Sharing my passion for sewing and design brings me joy. The hands-on experiences I offer are designed to spark creativity, build skills, and inspire a thoughtful approach to fashion. Together, we’ll explore how rethinking our relationship with clothing can broaden our awareness of their environmental, social, and economic impacts, ultimately making a positive difference in our world.
My experience
In 2024, I completed my degree in Textile Design and Communications, combining my love for sewing with a passion for creativity and design. This has given me the skills to not only teach sewing lessons but also bring unique designs to life for custom projects. Whether you’re here to learn or looking for something handmade and special, I’m excited to share my expertise and help you create something amazing!
Through the ReThink Fashion™ program at the American School of Madrid, I taught classes for students and conducted workshops for staff and families aimed to educate the school community and inspire a deeper understanding of the fashion industry. The program equipped participants with practical skills, with a strong focus on sustainability.
CLASSES
I offer private sewing lessons tailored to individuals or small groups. Whether you want to tackle a long-awaited project lurking in your sewing basket or embark on something entirely fresh, the choice is yours. Whatever your vision, I’m here to offer inspiration, design guidance, and support to bring it to life.
I offer all private sewing lessons in either English or Danish – or both. Pricing for private sewing lessons is based on number of participants, number of classes and sewing experience and goals. Fees will be discussed and agreed upon prior to getting started.
SEWING SERVICES
REPURPOSE: I can restyle dresses, skirts, tops, pants, etc. Take in or let out a garment. Shorten, taper or lengthen sleeves, straps, skirt, pants, etc.
REMAKE: I can make a copy of a garment you love. If your perfect-fitting dress is worn out and you can’t let it go or if your comfiest of t-shirt is full of holes, I can help.
Pricing is project-based, and my hourly rate varies, depending on the job. Fees will be discussed and agreed upon prior to getting started.
WORKSHOPS
I hope you find something you’d enjoy participating in—whether it’s sewing, crocheting, embroidering or mending. Join me to discover how a single stitch can lead to almost anything!
Monthly workshop
Work on your hand stitching, knitting or crochet projects and enjoy some good company. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced sewist, bring a project or start something new – I’m here to chat, share tips, and have fun.
Coffee, tea, water and snacks will be provided. As the event is on a Friday, feel free to bring a bottle of wine to share.
Cost is 100kr/ participant and each workshop is limited to 10 participants.
My inspiration
The fashion industry is considered the second-largest polluter in the world, and we all have a relationship with fashion. The inspiration for my workshops and classes came from a TEDxYouth Talk I gave in 2022, which encouraged listeners to rethink the fashion industry and our role in it.
My goal is to help us better understand these issues so that we can be part of the solution. I aim to inspire and educate young people about the fashion industry, our roles as consumers, and how we can make a positive impact.
